(English translation below) Die ersten heimkommenden Kinder samt Freundin und Freund werden am Kamin mit Croque Monsieur begrüßt. Die Pfannen, die man ins Feuer hält, hat mein Vater in den 60er Jahren aus Frankreich mitgebracht. Unsere Familie glaubt fest, daß wir das einzige Haus in Deutschland sind, in dem es Croque Monsieur am offenen Feuer gibt. 
The first homecoming children with their friends are welcomed with croque-monsieur by the fireside. My father brought the little pans that bake the croques in the open fire from France in the Sixties. My family firmly beleives that we are the only house in Germany that serves croques-monsieur from the open fire.
